ANGBAO MONKEY GAME

Art for Angbao Monkey, a simple one-button platformer mobile and browser-based game to promote Six Capital on Chinese New Year. The monkey character jumps around mountains collecting red and golden CNY packets, and players with the highest scores stand to win various prizes.

 

By request of the client, the monkey had to be a ninja-like character, though I made it so that it’s red and gold costume still had a Chinese feel to it (as opposed to Japanese, where ninjas originate). I also handled the environments, UI elements and collectible items.
